蔡元培的“美育代宗教”美育思想

蔡元培所处的时代是蔡元培美学思想产生的现实土壤。国家处在内忧外患之中,如何救国家于危亡之中,不同的人提出了不尽相同的方法。蔡元培坚决反对一些人提出的用宗教思想来拯救国民和国家的思想,并提出了著名的"以美育代宗教"思想,认为只有通过教育才能造成完全人格。这一思想的提出有力地打击了宗教封建势力,促进了中国科学、民主思想的发展,具有重要的历史地位。

Cai Yuanpei's Thought of Aesthetic Education

CaiYuanpei' s thought of aesthetic education was emerged in the era he lived,when our country was in the difficulty of both domestic trouble and foreign invasion.Many people put forward different ideas about how to save the nation from the dangerous situation.Firmly opposing the idea that the country could be saved by religions,CaiYuanpei proposed that aesthetic education,instead of religion,could develop complete people' s personality.His idea was greatly helpful to the development of science and democracy thought and effectively struck the force of religion and feudalism.
