| 摘 要： | 20世纪早期 ,蔡元培热情倡导和组织了中国青年大规模的留法勤工俭学运动 ,对推动中法文化教育交流作出了卓越贡献。蔡元培倡导这一运动乃出于对学习以法兰西文明为代表的西方先进文化的浓厚兴趣和迫切认识 ,为提高民族素质 ,促进社会改造 ,以推动我国近代化进程。

| Abstract: | In the early part of the 20th century, Cai Yuanpei made an outstanding contribution to the promotion of the cultural and educational exchanges between China and France by enthusiastically advocating and organizing the Chinese youth to study in France at large scale under a work study program movement. Out of his keen interest in advanced western cultures represented by France and his eagerness to learn from western countries, Cai Yuanpei initiated the movement for the improvement of Chinese national quality and social reform, and also for the promotion of the modernization process in China. |
