| 摘 要： | 英语中的不少成语源于<圣经>,其字面意义与有些汉语成语极为相似,但事实上它们的语义并不对等,各自的文化内涵截然不同.从英汉传统文化的差异入手,对几个源于<圣经>、又常被误译的英语成语的文化涵义进行分析和对比,辩明了它们的正确内涵,并就它们在英汉传译过程中的处理方法进行了探讨.

| Abstract: | Many English idioms are originated from the Bible, some of which are often mistranslated into Chinese idioms that are seemingly equivalent in meaning; while actually they have completely different cultural connotations. This paper probes into the cultural connotations behind these idioms by tracing their respective word origins in both cultures, and then suggests appropriate ways of rendering them into Chinese by observing concrete examples. |
