浅论希伯来精神

从文化学的视野看,西方文化植根于古希腊理性主义和希伯来精神。因此,理性主义和希伯来精神是西方文化的两种基本精神,从而理性与上帝构成了西方人的两大精神支柱,成为西方文化的象征。本文拟从西方文化精神支柱之一的希伯来精神出发,探讨这一文化精神对塑造犹太民族,形成西方世界"科学、民主、自由、平等、博爱"思想中的巨大作用并以此作为启示,探讨中华民族在现代化进程中应具备何种主导性的文化精神,来推动中国现代化的进程。

On the Spirit of Jewish Nation

Analyzing from the view of culture,western culture stemmed from the rationalism of ancient Greece and the spirit of Jewish nation,therefore,rationalism and Jewish spirit are the two basic spirits of western culture,and rationalism and God are two great spiritual pillars and the symbol of western culture.This essay discusses the spirit of Jewish nation—one of spiritual pillars of the western culture.At the same time this essay intends to probe into the great significance of this cultural spirit in molding the character of Jewish nation,shaping the thought of "science,democracy,freedom,equality and fraternity" of western society.Finally,this essay also intends to probe into what should be the leading cultural spirit of China in the course of Chinese modernization,which can put forward the course of its modernization.
