WTO与大学通识教育

入世对我国而言 ,不仅仅是一个经济问题 ,还必然会对国家的政治、文化、教育等产生深远的影响。对于正在走向学习化、信息化、知识化社会的高等教育来说 ,WTO必然会从经济、政治、文化等方面对其产生“折射”作用。具体来说就是入世对我国高等教育在人才培养模式、人才素质和教育观念等方面都提出了新的要求。为此 ,就迫切需要加强大学通识教育 ,其目标是发展大学生的伦理道德 ,使其了解公民的权利和义务 ,理解个人与个人、个人与社会、个人与自然的关系 ,欣赏人类多种文化 ,培养表达能力、思维能力以及其他各种能力 ,促进其个性自由、全面地发展 ,从而迎接入世的挑战。

WTO and General Knowledge Education in University

Entering into WTO is not only an economic issue to our country, it will inevitably give wide and profound influence to our politics, culture and education. WTO will inevitably produce a "refraction" from economic, political and cultural aspects to our higher education which is a society moving towards learning, information and knowledge. To be specific, entrance into WTO is a new request to our higher education in the aspects of education mode, quality of the graduates, and concept of the education. Therefore, general knowledge education in universities are urgently needed for the goal of cultivating the ethic value in the students, to make them understand the right and obligations of a citizen, understand the relationship between individuals, that between individuals and the society, and that between individuals and the nature, cultivating their capability of appreciation of various cultures, of expressing themselves, of thinking and other capabilities, so as to promote their individual freedom and all-around development to meet the challenge from the entrance into WTO.
