One of Marx and Engle' s contributions to the theory of productive forces is their pioneering studies of productive forces. This theory is developed by Deng Xiaoping in his creative conclusion that " science and technology are the primary productive forces" and that productive forces should be the criteria for our work. Jiang Zemin' s " Three Representatives Theory" enriches this theory.
