Image Breaking and Image Creating——Image Techniques in Dickinson and Li Qing-zhao's Poems

The writing techniques employed by Emily Dickinson and Li Qing-zhao were discussed in this thesis from perspective of image use.One is that they excel other poets in distilling one theme from various images vividly depicted in plain and fresh words;the other is that the same image they create brings different contexts which suggest the poetesses' understanding toward outside world and activities of their inner world at different times in a mild and roundabout manner.
