| 摘 要： | “and”一词在英语文学作品、科技等其它文体中俯拾皆是。“and”一词看似普通，实则不然，要真正掌握其用法并翻译好实属不易。“and”在不同的上下文中可表示各种各样的关系，如仅把“and”理解为并列连词，表示“和、与、同、及、又、兼”等义，并就此理解翻译出来，常常会词不迭意，甚至风马牛不相及。因此，全面分析“and”语义并探究其译法对所有英语学习者都具有重要现实意义。

| Abstract: | This paper gives a comprehensive and thorough study of the semantic use of the most common conjunction in English, AND, in order to eliminate the misunderstanding that many English learners enter into by simply sensing AND only as ＂和（as well as）＂ ,＂与 （with）＂, and help them to comprehend AND, especially its special meanings, uses and Chinese translations. |
