| 摘 要： | 自然主义的影响在美国很难消失。“决定论”是自然主义的一个中心主题，人的命运是由环境、遗传及其本能冲动决定的。《圣殿》中的金鱼眼、谭波儿和贺拉斯，他们的悲剧命运为美国南方特定的环境所决定，也和遗传或本能的影响密切相关。

| Abstract: | It is difficult for the influence of naturalism to disappear in America.Determinism is a central theme of naturalism.A person's destiny is determined by environment,heredity and instinct.Popeye,Temple and Horace in Sanctuary turn out to be victims of that special environment of American South.Besides,their tragic destiny relates closely with the influence of heredity or instinct. |
