指归宗教的英雄气息与自由精神--《西游记》的主题倾向及其佛教文化渊源辨析之一

主张“断尽烦恼,解脱成佛”的修行观念,是佛学的核心,是对古代小说创作(尤其是宗教题材小说的创作)影响至深的一环。本文以佛教“修行”观念影响《西游记》主题倾向发端,从英雄、自由两大母题入手,运用比较和分析的方法,对《西游记>的佛教文化渊源进行研究,揭示《西游记》世俗思想与佛教“修行”观念之间的隐秘关联,论证二者之间的相容性特征,以及以往学者对此问题产生误读的历史与文化根源。

Aiming at religion's heroic flavor and spirit of freedom --Analysis I on A Journey to the West's thematic tendency and its Buddhism cultural sources

As the core of Buddhism, to maintain "Exterminate all worries, emancipate yourself to be a Buddhist" this concept in Buddhism practice plays an important part in the creation of ancient novels, esp. in those with a religious theme. Beginning with the influence of Buddhism' s practice on the thematic tendency in A Journey to the West, centering on the two themes of heroism and freedom, by using comparison and analyses, the article makes a study on Buddhism cultural sources. In addition, it uncovers the veiled interconnection between the secular ideology in A Journey to the West and Buddhism' s practice, demonstrates the compatibility between the two as well as the historical and cultural origins of former scholars' misunderstandings on this.
