现代性与时间

本文试图从揭示现代时间起源、结构与意义的角度深化现代性理论。现代时间的文化观念渊源于从犹太—基督教救赎史到启蒙历史哲学的衍化 ,其社会存在基石是作为世界性市场经济交换价值的必要劳动时间。直线矢量的现代时间以追求未来的无限进步信念构成现代性核心。现代时间对生命节律的过度强迫是现代化中人与自然紧张对立的现代性根源。现代时间三维中“过去”、“现在”对“未来”的反抗与“未来”的演化 ,不仅是现代性种种矛盾冲突的深层根据 ,也是现代思想史观念运动的内在线索。现代时间的内在结构及其矛盾提供了深层认识中国现代化与现代性的新角度

Modernity and Time

This article attempts to develop the theory of modernity by revealing the origion, the structure and the meaning in the study of time in modern academics. A modern cultural idea comes from a process from the history of redemption of the Jewish Christianity to the philosophy of history in enlightenment. The foundation of its social existence lies at the necessary working time which is a value of exchange in a worldly market economy. The time in modern age as a straight line vector constitutes the core of modernity by pursueing a faith of limitless progress in the future. The time in modern age excessively exploit the rhythm of life, which is the modernist root of the intense conflict between human being and nature in the process of modernization. In the three dimension modern time, the resistance of "the past" and "the present" to the "future", and the evolution of "future", are not only the deep sources of conflicts in the modernity contradictions, but also the inherent clues of the movement in modern history of ideas. The interior structure and its contradictions in the time of modern age provide with a new point of view to a deep understanding of Chinese modernization as well as its modernity.
