| Abstract: | This thesis discusses Wang Wei, a Tang poet, lived a reclusive official life and his philosophy of "whatever it may be". And a historical examination of Confucianism, Buddhism and metaphysics reveals that behind all the phenomena, what Wang Wei abided by was still the feudal thought of the monarch and subject relation and social responsibility. |
