近代科学的发展促使人们以科学主义、实证主义的世界观和方法论对待人文科学的研究。自然主义文学思潮力图建立科学主义的“求真”新文学,以科学颠覆文学、取代文学,在极端倾向中走向了歧途。20世纪形式主义学派将“形式”研究落实为文本语言研究,忽视了文学接受过程中社会、人文、主观的因素,造成了理论上的偏颇和疏漏,反科学主义是对科学主义扼杀文学人文精神的反动。

On Scientism and Modern Western Literary Theories

Scientism is an ideological trend which has been impinged on the realm of Western Thoughts for more than two centuries.Under the influence of it,the modern Western literary theory attempts to combine science and literature together,and many sects characterized by scientism emerged as well.From the point of view of the history of ideology,this thesis described systematically the concrete impacts which Scientism has made on different literary critical schools in different historical periods,inspected the ideological differences and the theoretical achievements and failures of various doctrines which have the same ideal as that of scientism,and also discussed the evolving paths and the ideological sources of their inherent spiritual essence.
