Textual Strategy of Post-modern Fiction and Its Turn

The post-modern fiction, with conspicuous poetic complexity, falls into two main categories: experimental and popular novels. It presents a literary sphinx riddle for readers by its imaginative use of intertextuality, its confusion of genres, its design of multi-plot texts and endings, and its stylistic prettification of sex and violence. However, with its decline of creativity, its widely adopted forms and techniques have turned or will turn into another stereotype. Thus a post-post-modern turn and reconstruction in literature is expected.
