| 摘 要： | 种族主义思想可以追溯到美国宪法,其承认南方黑人奴隶制的合法性,反映出种族偏见。该思想在19和20世纪曾经导致了大量名目繁多的歧视性法案,引发了1882年至1965年的反移民时期。本文以《排华法案》为个案,从《排华法案》的历史成因、引发的争议、造成的社会影响和撤销法案的实质等角度分析美国移民政策中的种族主义本质。

| Abstract: | Racism originated from American Constitution, which legalized black slavery in the South and revealed prejudice against African American immigrants. In 19th and 20th century, racial discrimination gave rise to a large number of discriminatory acts and consequently triggered the anti-immigration period from 1882 to 1965. Taking The Chinese Exclusion Act for example, this essay aims at exploring its historical causes, the disputes it aroused,the social influence it exerted and the essence of The Chinese Exclusion Repeal Act, hence demonstrating the racism nature of American immigration policies. |
