| 摘 要： | 英汉两种语言中都存在大量的比喻性词语 ,但由于各自不同的社会文化背景 ,通常它们会选择不同的本体和喻体来表达同一含义。英汉比喻性词语中喻体及其涵义的不同对应关系揭示了东西方文化内涵的差异 ,在翻译过程中需采取直译、借用、抽象和补偿等策略。

| Abstract: | There are large amount of metaphorical phrases in English and Chinese.Due to differnt social culture backgrounds,usually they will adopt different subjects and vehicles to express the same connotation.The inequality between Chinese and English metaphorical phrases reveals the difference between east and west cultures ands demands various translating approaches. |
