Abstract: | In the last decade, the number of children and adults diagnosed learning disabled has increased. It is a diagnosis often determined and treated by either the medical or educational professions. In a significant number of cases, the identified learning problems may, in fact, be symptoms of a borderline personality syndrome. In those cases, appropriate treatment includes psychotherapy as well as educational supports. The following article describes the possible relationship between learning disabilities and the borderline personality syndrome.Special thanks to Dr. Rosemary Luktos for her support. |
