| Abstract: | The historical romance material on the base of modern history was the important content of historical romance composition in Late Qing Dynasty and the Early years of the Republic of China,which broke the oppressive situation that historical romance had only compiled the ancient history since Song and Yuan Dynasty.The works aim at saving the nation from extinction and rasing the flag of the revolution.This blew fresh wind into the historical field,and became a distinct feature of historiographical works during this period. |
