试论姚鼐对统治者的离心倾向和对自我的热烈追求

姚鼐的文学、学术活动,并非如有的学者所言:“完全符合清廷思想文化政策”,“和统治者一鼻孔出气”,而是以赞赏对科举“意不自得”、“绝不就试”者,颂扬官场上“绝意仕宦”、“自行其志”者,鼓吹作家创作要“自发其思”、“自适己意”,表现出他对统治者的离心倾向和对自我的热烈追求。认清这一点,有助于澄清我国文学史上的这桩冤案。

On Yao Nai's dissonance with authority in his academic activities

Different from some scholars’ comments that Yao Nai was a faithful follower of the Qing authoritative ideology, Yao Nai was a supporter of those who refused to take part in the imperial civil examination against their will. He sang highly of the action of despising official career and sticking to one’s own thought, which reflects his dissonance with the authority and his pursuit of self-value. This recognition will be helpful for clearing up the injustice of Yao Nai in Chinese literary history.
