| 摘 要： | 在英语中语篇衔接更多是借助代词、近义词替换和省略句。由于语篇类别的制约,反义词作为语篇衔接手段远不如前面提到的种类常见,而矛盾修饰词作为反义词的一种特殊类型,谈的就更少。本文提出矛盾修饰词是英语中一种特殊的语篇衔接手段,并从其表、深层结构所包含的语义关系、语篇衔接功能及其在英译汉中的处理方法等几方面进行了探讨,旨在引起更多的关注,进行更深入的研究。

| Abstract: | Pronouns, synonymy and omission are more often used as the means of text cohesion in English. Because of restriction of text types, antonym is far less frequently used for the purpose of text cohesion than the means mentioned above. Oxymoron, as its special kind, is much less discussed accordingly. This paper addresses oxymoron as a special means of text cohesion in English and explores its surface structures, semantic relationship, deep structures,textual functions and translation techniques from English into Chinese, aiming at evoking more attention to it and encouraging further research on it. |
