作为一个规定,确立的文学母题不仅意味着一个特殊的内容单元,而是某个形式和存在的一般分类的具体表现或模仿。其中最重要的是动机和暂时结果、彼此关系及主旨、主体特点(情境、制度、社会生活、空间、设置及作为人的感情和行为、事件等客体的各种现实现象的主旨或主体特点)。主要由于既针对内容又针对形式的双重定位考虑,文学母题能作为一个形成文本并在一定时期指导文本的修辞手段(schemata)而存在。

Being a regulation,the established literature motif means not only a special meaning unit,but also a specific representation or imitation of commonly classifying about some form and existent.Among them,the important thing is motive and temporary ending,connection and major idea,and main body nature(feeling condition,system,social living,space,setting and the major idea or the main body nature which is many real phenomena of the human's feeling,acting and things).Considering the double orientation of the meaning and form,literature motif can exist because it is a schemata way which can shape the text and sometimes guide the text.
