A Contrastive Study Between Animal Liberation Theory and Animal Protectionism

Animal protection ethics is an important branch of environmental ethics in non-human centeredness school.Peter Singer's animal liberation theory is one of the most influential theories and modern discussions about animal ethics.Different from Animal Protectionism,animal liberation theory has the basic principles of equality and utility in terms of utilitarian ethics.From the starting point of the assumption that animal liberation is the continuation of human liberation,it advocates direct shift of ethical concern to the animals and proposes ethical status for the animals so as to compulsorily prevent harms done to the animals.
