| 摘 要： | 《新青年》杂志关于世界语的讨论是新文化运动时期学术讨论的重要内容之一。这期间,陈独秀、钱玄同等人大力宣传世界语精神,强调语言的人造性和政治功能,而陶孟和、胡适等人则大倡世界语"无用论",强调语言的民族性、历史性。语言学方面的争论,实际上显示了新文化阵营中激进与稳健两派学者政治观的分歧。这场讨论不仅推动了世界语在中国的发展,而且促进了"五四"时期的国语建设。

| Abstract: | The discussion of Esperanto by the New Youth was one of important academic discussions during the New Culture Movement. During the time, Cheng Duxiu, Qian Xuantong and others energetically advocated the spirit of Esperanto and emphasized the artificiality and political faculty of the language, but Tao Menghe,Hu Shi and others declared the uselessness of Esperanto and emphasized the nationality and historicity of language. The argument on linguistics actually showed the divergence of the political point of view between the radical and the moderate scholars in the new culture camp. The debate not only promoted the development of Esperanto, but also advanced the construction of the common spoken Chinese during the New Culture Movement. |
