禅宗天衣义怀禅师生平事迹及思想略考

天衣义怀为云门下四世，禅门一代宗匠，对北宋云门宗兴盛与发展起到巨大的促进作用；培养出很多到京城传法并产生重大影响的出色弟子；北宋中后期著名云门禅僧中很多人皆出自其法系。鉴于义怀在云门宗中的特殊地位，以及现存早期佛教史料对其生平与思想记载的不足，时人对其思想研究的纰漏，据现有相关资料对其生平事迹、思想等做相关分析、研究，有利于更真实、客观地了解义怀；更全面、深层次地理解其思想，并同时为做更多与义怀相关的研究提供一定的帮助与参考。

A Brief Research of Tianyi Yihung＇s Biography and Thinking

Tianyi Yihung was one of great masters of Yunmen Sect of Zen Buddhism, who made great con- tributions to Yunmen Sect＇s thrive and development in Song Dynasty. Many eminent monks of Yunmen Sect who disseminated the dharma around the capital were trained by him. Many Zen monks of the fa- mous Yunmen Sect in the mid and late of North Song Dynasty were from the same branch as Yihung. Though Yihung has a special status in Yunmen Sect, his life and thoughts were insufficient in the present original Buddhism records. Scholars, living approximately the same age as him, made some mistakes on the research of his thoughts. Through the analysis and research of Yihung＇s life story and thoughts recor- ded in the present documents, it expects to give a more truthful image of Yihung, so as to obtain more comprehensive and objective understanding of him, and to offer some assistance and references to the more research on Yihung as well.
