论齐格蒙特·鲍曼的园艺社会学

鲍曼是当代研究现代性与后现代性理论最著名的社会学家之一,他提出的园艺社会观第一次将现代文化判定为一种园艺文化,将对现代社会的管理看作是建设花园的实践。他运用园艺化的隐喻,将现代性诞生以来的社会规划看成是一个社会园艺化的过程,把现代社会看成是人类人工设计的花园,其中社会管理者就成为园丁,社会成为被园丁管理的对象,精心培育人工植物与清除花园中的杂草则成为园丁管理社会的两大主要目标。

Zygmunt· Bauman's Theory of Horticultural Society

Zygmunt·Bauman is one of the most famous sociologist on modern and post-modern theory in contemporary.He proposes a view of horticultural society which judges the modern culture as the garden culture and the management of modern society as a practice of garden constructing.He uses the metaphor of the garden considering the planning of modernity as a process of social garden and regarding the modern society as the human artificial garden design.In his theory,the social managers are embodiment of gardeners,the society becomes the object of the gardener management,cultivating the artificial plants carefully and getting rid of weeds in the garden become the two main objectives of the management of the society.
