民族文化认同与经典的再发明

摘    要:全球化时代的趋同性也提出了文化多元性的问题.这就迫使我们回答:古代文化经典是否可以,以及如何充当民族文化的自我认同的精神资源?2004年的读经讨论使得文化保守主义浮出水面,但也暴露出当代中国知识界将对于经典的文化正当性偷换为政治正当性,而后者很难具备完整的文化自我认同的作用.我们所考虑的经典,应该不仅仅是政治经典,而是应该包含所有的文化经典.这些经典作为传布古代生活形式的一种载体,是现代性的他者,是特殊的民族身份,但也具有普世价值.而将其普世价值发掘出来,又必然是一种根据经典文本内在结构规则的新的发明.这一意义上的文化传统与现代性之间的关系必然处于一种相互竞争、相互斗争、相互对话的博弈过程之中.

Abstract:Globalization posits not only problems of homogeneity but also problems of cultural pluralism, for example, the problem of whether the cultural classics of ancient times can serve as the spiritual resources for the identity of ethnic cultures. The discussion of the reading of classics in 2004 caused cultural conservatism to emerge and exposed a phenomenon that the contemporary intellectuals of China have replaced the cultural righteousness of Chinese classics with political righteousness which can hardly play a good role in cultural identity. Classics should include not only political classics but also cultural classics. These classics are a carrier of the ancient lifestyle, the other of modernity, possesses special ethnic identities and universal value whose excavation is a new invention based on the internal structures of the classics. Thus, the relationship between cultural tradition and modernity is always exhibited in the process of dialogue, competition and struggle.
