汉英隐喻认知方式对比考察

当代隐喻研究表明隐喻不仅是一种语言修辞手法,更是人类感悟世界、认知世界的重要手段。由于各民族对客观世界有着类似的看法和感受,所以,不同民族的语言隐喻呈现出跨文化的相似性。又因为各民族语言文化、思维方式存在着巨大的差异,语言隐喻在认知方式上具有鲜明的民族特征。作者运用认知语言学的理论,从隐喻认知的心理基础、认知结构和认知模型等方面对汉英隐喻的认知方式进行对比考察,从而揭示汉英隐喻认知方式的同与异。

Ways of Cognition between Chinese and English Metaphor: Comparison and Enquiry

Contemporary studies on metaphor have shown that metaphor is not only a kind of rhetoric device, but rather an important means by which man understands and cognizes the world. As all the nations share some similar views and feelings about the objective world, cross - cultural similarities arc seen in the metaphors of differ- ent languages. On the other hand, nations differ a lot in language cultures and ways of thinking, so there are distinctive native features in the cognitive ways of metaphor in language. Based on the theories of cognitive linguistics, this paper intends to contrast and study the similarities and differences between the Chinese and English rnetaphorical ways of cognition from the perspectives of mental bases, structures and models of metaphorical cognition.
