Similarity Between L1 and L2 in the Developmental Pattern of Grammar and Its Enlightenments--Taking English Language as an Example

Striking similarity between L1 and L2 exists in the developmental pattern of grammar,especially in the acquisition of grammatical morphemes,negative and interrogative.Reason underlying the similarity is that there is acquisition mechanism in human mind,which can internalize the grammar rules.Some enlightenments from the comparative study are presented to foreign language teachers,learners and textbook writers: creating a high quality language environment for students in classroom to internalize the grammar rules;strengthening the awareness of grammar learning to speed up the acquisition of grammar;following the natural rules in the course of textbook writing.
