Various Opinions Interpreting the Profound Meanings--Comments on the Researches about Mao Zedong's Letter to Jiang Qing

Mao Zedong wrote a letter to Jiang Qing on July 8,1966 in Wuhan. This letter is so obscure, abstruse, enriched and significant that it has become an essentially important document for historians to study about the "Cultural Revolution" and the ideological campaign of Mao Zedong in his old age. For over two decades, domestic academic circles have made plenty of researches on the letter and have given some important accomplishments particularly regarding the writing background, motivation, purport and inference of this letter. Reviewing these accomplishments is a help to further the research.
