民国前期粤商文化在上海的辐射效应

广东受西风熏染较早和毗邻港澳,商品经济因素活跃,在近代观念传播方面有着先天的优势。民国前期粤商文化主要通过粤籍华商在上海的拓展而产生辐射效应。经过长期融合,旅居上海的粤商逐渐融于当地,丰富了沪市商业文化的内涵,促进了资产阶级民族主义和民主运动,并增强了中国近代的物质文明。

Extension Effect of Guangdong Commercial Culture in Shanghai at the First Stage of the Republic

Being close to Hong Kong and Macao, Guangdong was influenced by the western world. Its commodity economy factors activated to make an innate superiority in spreading modern ideas. During the early period of the Republic, the commercial culture in Guangdong produced an extension effect chiefly through its merchants who developed their business in Shanghai. After a quite long period of combination, Guangdong merchants living in Shanghai gradually merged in the new environment. They enriched the connotation of Shanghai city s commercial culture, promoted a national bourgeois movement, and enhanced a modern Chinese material civilization.
