略论唐代陇右地区马政对经略西北的影响

唐朝前期出于经略西北的需要,统治者高度重视马牧业,为此制订了系统完整的制度,在陇右地区建立了规模宏大的监牧基地,良好的马政为唐军提供了大量优质战马,在唐朝前期的开边战争中发挥了重要作用。及至安史之乱,吐蕃乘隙入侵,尽占陇右地区,马政日益衰微。唐政府失去陇右屏障,海内骚然,终晚唐一代,西北边患未除。

Influences of Tang Dynasty''''s Horse Administration at Long You Zone on Northwest Control

At the earlier stage of Tang Dynasty,in need of the control of northwest of China,traficant social life was brought into an important place.It made rules highly attach importance to keep horse.For this purpose the government formulated systematic institution for keeping horse,setting-up dimensions base for keeping horse in Gansu province,and devoting major efforts to horse compensation trade.This policy gave a large number of horses of high quality for the Tang army.It also played an important role in securing the border.It was not until the "An-shi Civil War" broke out,did Tubo exploit the Tang's blunder,occupied almost all northwest China.For this reason the horse administration fell into decline gradually.The Tang government lost Gansu's northwest natural defense,till the end of Tang Dynasty with conflicts existing on the China border together with disturbs throughout the country.
