| 摘 要： | 《苔丝》是英国 1 9世纪批判现实主义小说家哈代的代表作 ,《觉醒》则是同时代美国作家凯特·肖班的力作。它们分别讲述的是女主人公苔丝和艾德娜的悲剧故事。苔丝与艾德娜的悲剧虽然存在着阶级与性格的因素 ,但在两人的悲剧中起着至关重要作用的共同因素却是父权制度或男权制度

| Abstract: | Tess of the D'Urbervilles is the most representative work of Thomas Hardy, a critical realist writer in the 19th century Britain. Another contemporary American writer, Kate Chopin wrote her masterpiece The Awakening. These two works respectively describe the tragedies of Tess and Adana, which caused by class factors and their personalities, but patriarchy is the key. |
