| Abstract: | The Westernization Movement established some military industry to enable the machined production of military equipments. Through the translation of western military works and the adoption of advanced military organization and trainings, the modernization of China's military force was accelerated. Also, with the opening of military schools, a multitude of military personnel came into being. In a word, the Westernization Movement paved the way for China's military modernization. |
