略论洪秀全对基督教的取舍与利用

A brief discussion of Hong Xiuquan's selection and utilization of Christianity

Hong Xiuquan combined the doctrine of Christianity with traditional Chinese culture, common Chinese people's superstitious ideas and practical needs in struggle as the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom's ideological weapon. However, his limited knowledge and wilful selection of Christian principles made Christianity seem absurd and unreasonable in his hand, which led to the Western missionaries' abandonment of his regime.
