从认知语义学角度看英语习语的语义

摘    要:认知语义学为我们提供了探索习语语义的新视角.与传统的语言观不同,认知语义学认为,习语是在人类的概念体系中产生的,其本质是概念性的和系统性的,而非语言性的;习语的语义也不是任意性的,而是有理据和动因的.隐喻、转喻和普遍知识三种认知机制为人们理解习语语义提供了概念理据,其中隐喻概念是我们理解习语的最重要认知机制.从认知语义学的角度分析习语使我们更准确地理解习语的语义,这对习语的外语教学也将产生积极的促进作用.

Abstract:Cognitive semantics provides us a new perspective to explore idioms' semantic.Different form the traditional perspective,the cognitive view holds that idioms are products of our conceptual system of that essence is notion and system.Meanwhile for most idioms meanings can be seen as motivated,but not arbitrary.Metaphor,metonymy and conventional knowledge provide us with the conceptual motivation in understanding idioms,in which the metaphor is the most important one factor.Analyzing idioms from the cognitive semantics approach helps us understand idioms correctly,and will promote the teaching of them.
