| Abstract: | Shan Juan,a legendary person concerned with the region of Wuling,Hunan,during the period of two legendary rulers Yao and Shun about 4,000 years ago,was recorded in some poems and local annals.Yet no investigation was made before as to whether he once lived in seclusion in Wuling.According to related historical data and materials,he was a native of Wuling and the statement was groundless that he once lived in seclusion in a cave in Yixing,Jiangsu. |
