Ezra Pound is the poet and translator that blazes new trail for modernist poetry in America.His translations cover widely in time and space,which reflects his evident and systematic translational theories.This paper,from the fresh perspective of eco-translatology,explores Pound’s translations as the reflection of the balance,the adaptation and selection rule,the evolution of the translational eco-system.The balance of the system is shown in the harmony between the writer and the translator,the translator and the reader,the adaptation and selection rule in Pound’s adaptation in his translation to the social environment,the cultural environment and the translational environment,the evolution in Pound’s intention to achieve through translation as to promote the Imagist movement and the development of modernist literature.
