Evolution demographique,croissance economique et bien-etre social

The demographic factor plays a major role in the economic processes contributing to the rate of economic growth and the level of welfare. Economic conditions exert a reciprocal influence on demographic processes. This article studies both the various aspects of the relationships between demographic change and economic growth and also the influence of demographic changes on the welfare of generations and of families. The author underlines the underestimation by both demographers and economists of the large positive contribution of the demographic revolution to economic development and social welfare.
