| 摘 要： | 从英汉语言对比研究的视角，以《道德经》及其英译本为个案样本，分析总结了汉语词、句、章三个层面的模糊语言个性。通过比较原本与英译本得出汉语模糊性具有语言经济性的结论，通过比较汉语译者与英语译者的英译本，说明本土译者具有汉籍英译的优势。

| Abstract: | Based on a comparative study of Lao Tsu and its English versions, this paper probes into the vague features of the Chinese language as manifested in words, sentences and texts. It concludes that vagueness in the Chinese language can make the language more concise, and the comparison of the two English versions of Lao Tsu by Arthur Waley and Gu Zhengkun seems to suggest that English speaking Chinese translators have some advantage over native English speaking translators when translating Chinese works into English. |
