A Comparative Study of Similar Mythologies --Tracing the Origin of the Mythologies of Uranus in the East and the West

In ancient Greek mythology, Uranus, one of the first generation gods, was a very important figure. In Phoenicia, an ancient state in the East, there also existed a similar story about Uranus in parallel. The similarities in their families and plots seem to prove that there must have been mutual communication and mutual interactions between the East and the West in ancient times. Archeological research indicates that it is indeed the case. Assyria, a region in Mesopotamia, there was a Babylonian Epic called Emuma Elis, while the Hittites in Asia Minor had a similar myth, and the myths in turn were similar in many aspects to the myth about Uranus in ancient Greece.
