On the Historical Changes and Cultural Factors of Simile in Uyghur Literary Works

The unique cultural backgrounds, customs and thinking patterns of the Uyghur people have produced certain influences on the formation and use of similes in their language. In light of the similes of natural objects, plants, flowers, animals, food and utensils, we can see that the religious culture, worshipping customs, ecological environment and customs have played an important role in the changes of the similes used in Uygur literary works. These similes express the uniqueness of the works by Uygur writers but also the national features of literary language.
