| 摘 要： | 知识分子这个议题,始终贯穿于位于后殖民理论“三剑客”之首的爱德华.赛义德的学术理论创作以及政治实践生涯。赛义德以在美国著名大学栖身的“流亡者”的独特视角,对当今知识分子的进行了格外令人深省的论述。同时,赛义德还身体力行地践履着自己对知识分子的理解,他为在西方社会正确地“表征”中东,一直对东方学或者说东方主义进行着不懈的批判,其本人也因此被称为中东在美国的“代言人”。文章在阐释赛义德对知识分子的个人理解的同时,也试图对赛义德及其著作的重要意义作另一个视角的关照。

| Abstract: | As a topic,the responsibilities and role of intellectuals in the society have been a constant concern for Edward Said who is accredited as the head of the "Holy Trinity".Said is an eastern "exile" in one of America's prestigious universities.From this peculiar perspective,his analysis of intellectuals is especially penetrating and illuminating.This paper elaborates Said's views on intellectuals and his critique of Orientalism,trying to shed more light on the responsibilities and role of intellectuals. |
