However we could get a new scene when study Lingzhou through the history of exchange between China and the West. Being the most important thoroughfare for the communication between central China and nationalities in the West and North in the later period of Tang Dynasty and Early period of Sone Dynasty, Lingzhou was considered as an international city. Meanwhile Lingzhou was the most important international trading market, which played an important rule in the history between China and the West. When Xixia kingdom occupied Lingzhou, its international status and trading market rule were abated, and the pattern of exchanging between China and the West took play an essential transform.
