摘    要:关联理论从认知语言学的角度提出语言交际是一个认知过程,是必须依靠认知语境推理来进行的语用理论。将关联理论与听力教学有机结合起来,可以使学生通过认知语境取得最大的关联效果,以提高他们的英语听力水平。

Abstract:Based on relevance theory,communication is regarded as a cognitive process in which interpretation of utterance relies on inference. This paper attempts to apply relevance theory to teaching College English listening comprehension. On the basis of their integration,students are expected to achieve maximal contextual effects so that their listening abilities could be improved.
