| Abstract: | Aiming at the problems and puzzles in sailors' translating Chinese into English,the paper made an analysis of the characteristics of both Chinese and English,and made a further approach to the translation criteria.It advanced some translation rules concerning grammar and style as well as the translation skills in making the version "faithful and smooth". |
