吴宓与五四新文化运动

作为<学衡>派的主要代表人物,吴宓从文化保守主义的角度对五四新文化运动提出了批评,其主要观点有三个方面首先,他认为新文化运动的领导者有过于追求实用和功利主义的倾向.其次,对他们把新文化运动强行纳入政治轨道不满.第三,吴宓对如何引进西方文化以及引进西方文化中哪些有价值成分等问题,也提出了自己的意见.而作为吴宓等人思想之理论基础者,正是以白壁德为代表的新人文主义.

WU Mi and the New Culture Movement

As a main representative figure of Xueheng,WU Mi criticized the New Culture movement by the angle of cultural conservatism.He held that the leaders of the movement had the trend of utilitarism and pragmatism,they brought the movement into political track by compulsory means.MU Mi proposed for the introduction of the foreign culture.The theoretic foundation of WU Mi's theory is the Neo-Humanism.
