隐、转喻研究映射论和传承说的对比分析

摘    要:映射论和外延内涵传承说是有关隐、转喻研究的两种较有影响的理论。到目前为止,认知语言学界对这两种理论还没有进行系统的对比分析。文章从隐喻和转喻两方面比较这两种理论的异同,发现它们都把隐、转喻的实质看成特征的传递,但是,两种理论在具体解释时所采取的途径不同。前者把源域和目标域看成两个完整的整体,而后者把源域和目标域所代表的两个概念分解为内涵和外延两个方面。两种理论所讨论的传递在内容、对象和次数等多个方面存在差异。传承说对映射论既有改造,也有吸收。对这两种理论的比较和分析有助于对隐喻和转喻的多角度深入研究。

Abstract:Mapping Theory and Extension-Intension Inheritance Theory are two influential theories concerning metaphor and metonymy. Up till now, there is no systemic comparative analysis of the two theories. Through the comparison of the similarities and differences of the two theories from the perspective of metaphor and metonymy, this paper finds that both the two theories take the essentials of metaphor and metonymy as attribute delivery. However, the two theories take different approaches in the elaboration: the former regards the source domain and target domain as complete units, while the latter dissects the two concepts represented by two domains into extension and intension. In the discussion of the attribute delivery, the two theories differ from each other in the aspects of content, target and delivery tines. Besides,the latter theory both reform and inherit the first theory. The comparison and analysis of the two theories are conductive to a muti-perspective study on metaphor and metonymy
