| 摘 要： | 应用韩礼德的系统功能语法,尤其是其语域理论来研究和解释美国报纸中社论英语的语体特点,对所选语料的及物性结构、语气和情态结构以及主位结构的分析,寻找社论英语总的语体特点,并从语场、语旨和语式三方面对结果进行解释和分析,以此来扩展新闻英语文体研究的范围。

| Abstract: | We can apply Halliday's Systemic-functional Grammar, especially his register theory to analyze and explain the features of the editorials in American newspapers. By studying the transitivity pattern, mood, modality and thematic structure of the data, we can also analyze the common features of the editorials. Meanwhile, we can explain how the language in editorials is affected by the different contextual variables-field, tenor and mode, from a systemic-functional perspective in order to enlarge the range of stylistic study of news English. |
