The comparison of address words between the Chinese language and the Japanese language

This article discusses the similarities and differences on the use of address words in the Chinese and Japanese languages.This article also analyzes how the two languages differ in choices of address words when communicating due to such factors as social status and roles,close and distant changes in relation,individual educational background,and respect for the counterpart.This article proposes that China and Japan have much in common since both countries are assimilated with the oriental Chinese Character Zone.Therefore,to comprehend the similarities and differences of address word in both languages can not only deepen mutual understandings between the two countries,but also promote exchanges between different cultures.
