文学艺术是否拥有“历史” ,长期以来众说纷纭。汤因比说过 :包括文学艺术在内的文化领域不存在线性发展理论 ,甚至不存在进步 ;但借助现代生态学理论 ,可以对其“演替”进行描述 ,并取代“发展”、“进步”的理论概括 ,为跨文艺学、生态学的“历史”研究开辟了一个新的视角

History of Literature and Art: An Enlightenment of Ecological Succession

As opinions about whether the literature and art have the history vary for a long time, no unanimous conclusion has been drawn. Tong believes that there exists no theory of linear development in the field of culture including literature and art, even there is no any progress. But if we draw the support from the modern ecological theory, the "ecological succession" can be described and the theory of "development" and "progress" are replaced. This opens new angle of view for the study of cross-literature and art, and the study on "history" of ecology.
